Zayed for Good Foundation serves over 3.3 million iftar meals in UAE and worldwide during Ramadan

Abu Dhabi: During the holy month of Ramadan, the Zayed for Good Foundation has helped more than 3.3 million people by giving free iftar meals in the UAE and many other countries.

The “Iftar Saem” programme started at the beginning of Ramadan. It gives food to people who are fasting, helping families, workers, and those in need enjoy a proper meal at sunset.

This programme follows the kind and caring values of the UAE’s founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. It also supports the country’s goal of spreading kindness, helping others, and bringing people together.

Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, Director General of the Foundation, said the programme shows how the UAE loves to give and help people everywhere. He explained that the goal is not just to give food for one day, but to create long-term support that helps people live better lives with dignity.

Inside the UAE, more than 2.29 million people received iftar meals. These meals were served at well-known places like Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Mosque in Al Ain, and Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Mosque in Sweihan. Meals were also delivered to workers living in labour accommodations. The programme was carried out with the support of First Abu Dhabi Bank.

Outside the UAE, over 1.05 million people in more than 12 countries also received meals. These countries include Jordan, Kazakhstan, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Kenya, Russia, Kosovo, the Philippines, Kyrgyzstan, Brazil, Indonesia, and Seychelles.

The programme helps bring people from different backgrounds together during Ramadan. It also makes life a little easier for families who have less money by providing free meals.

The Zayed for Good Foundation continues to work with partners and volunteers to spread kindness and support communities in the UAE and around the world.
