Zayed bin Mohammed bin Zayed Visits DRIFTx 2025 in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI: Sheikh Zayed bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited DRIFTx 2025 at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. The event is part of Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week and is organised by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office.
During his tour, Sheikh Zayed learned about new ideas and technologies in smart mobility. These include self-driving cars, flying drones, and sea vehicles that use advanced artificial intelligence. Many leading companies from the UAE and around the world showed their latest designs and prototypes.
Sheikh Zayed said that hosting the second DRIFTx shows Abu Dhabi’s strong support for the autonomous systems industry. He shared that the emirate is working hard to build a future where transportation is smart, safe and sustainable.
While visiting pavilions of UAE companies, he praised their progress in creating smart and self-driving technology. He also said it is important to continue training Emirati talent so they can help build new innovations and keep Abu Dhabi a leader in advanced technology.
Sheikh Zayed was joined on the tour by Badr Salim Al Olama, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, along with members of the organising committee.
DRIFTx 2025 brings together inventors, investors, and decision-makers from many countries. The event explores the future of smart mobility and shows the newest technology in this fast-growing field.
The event also highlights the role of the Smart and Autonomous Vehicle Industries (SAVI) cluster in growing Abu Dhabi’s industrial sector and helping the emirate become a global hub for autonomous technology.
