Young Fighters Impress at UAE MMA Championship in Al Ain

Al Ain: The UAE National Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championship began today at the ADNEC Centre in Al Ain. Organized by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and MMA Federation, the event features over 300 young athletes from clubs across the country.
On day one, kids aged 10 to 15 competed in the Youth D, C, and B categories. They showed great skill and discipline, proving that MMA is growing fast among UAE’s youth.
Officials say the championship helps discover new talent and builds confidence in young fighters. Parents and coaches praised the event’s role in improving both physical and mental strength.
One highlight was Hind Al Hashmi, who won gold in the Youth D 40 kg division, thanking her coach and family for the win.
The tournament continues tomorrow with older youth and adult fighters. The event also supports the UAE’s goal to promote martial arts and healthy living across the country.
