The United Nations (UN) leader, António Guterres, is happy about a new peace deal between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The deal was made with help from the United States and was signed by Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev and Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Guterres thanked both leaders for talking to each other and working to build trust. He also praised US President Donald Trump for helping make the peace deal possible.
This agreement gives hope that the two countries can end their long-time problems and work together for a better future.
