Luxembourg: Brandon McNulty from UAE Team Emirates-XRG showed his strength by taking second place in the individual time trial at the Tour de Luxembourg. His powerful ride moved him into the overall race lead, with only one stage left in the race.
The fourth stage was a 26.3 km time trial in Niederanven. The course had rolling roads and a tricky finish. McNulty rode with great focus and finished just 27 seconds behind stage winner Ethan Hayter of Soudal-Quickstep. This result gave McNulty the yellow leader’s jersey.
His teammate Nils Politt also performed well, finishing in 7th place. With McNulty now leading the general classification, UAE Team Emirates-XRG is in a strong position before the final stage.
McNulty said it felt good to wear the leader’s jersey. He explained, “It was a tough time trial, but I followed my plan. Only one rider was stronger today. Tomorrow, we will fight to keep the jersey, and I trust my teammates to help defend it.”
