Madrid: UAE Team Emirates-XRG is on fire at the Vuelta a España. Spanish rider Juan Ayuso gave fans a big reason to cheer as he won Stage 7 on the tough climb to Cerler, Huesca.
Ayuso broke away from the other riders with about 9.5 kilometers left and never looked back. He pushed hard on the mountain and crossed the finish line alone, celebrating his second big Grand Tour stage win this season.
This victory makes it three wins in a row for UAE Team Emirates-XRG. The team first took the Time Trial on Wednesday, then Jay Vine grabbed a win on Thursday, and now Ayuso has claimed Friday’s stage on the mountain.
The stage started with a big group of 13 riders pulling ahead of the main pack. Among them were Ayuso and his teammate Jay Vine, who is wearing the blue polka-dot jersey as the best climber in the race. While Vine kept adding points for the mountains classification, Ayuso saved his strength for the final climb and showed his power at the right moment.
For Ayuso, this is a sweet comeback after losing time on Stage 6. By working together with Vine, he proved he is still one of the strongest riders in the race and a name to watch in the fight for future victories.
With this win, UAE Team Emirates-XRG continues to shine at the Vuelta, showing teamwork, strength, and big ambitions for the rest of the race.
