Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has shared its plans for its national building, called a pavilion, at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. The event will run from April to October 2025. The UAE’s pavilion is called “Earth to Ether.” It shows how the country mixes old traditions with new ideas like space travel and clean energy. The building will be in the “Empowering Lives” area of the Expo.
The UAE wants to share its values and ideas with the world. The pavilion will also focus on young people. Twenty-four young Emiratis and twenty young people from Japan will help tell the UAE’s story.
Noura Al Kaabi, a government leader, said that the UAE has always used Expos to show its values and build friendships. She said the UAE’s return to Japan is special because the country first joined an Expo in Osaka over 50 years ago.
The UAE’s Ambassador to Japan, Shihab Al Faheem, said that the building shows how the UAE is open to working with others and creating a better future. He also said the UAE and Japan have strong ties in trade and friendship. The design of the UAE Pavilion was inspired by the date palm tree. It was built using old Emirati styles and Japanese woodwork skills. The pavilion has tall columns and is made in a way that is good for the environment.
During the six months, there will be over 40 events inside the UAE Pavilion. These will include talks about space, health, clean energy, and youth ideas. A big moment will be the UAE National Day at the Expo. It will have music and shows and will celebrate the country and its people. Some big UAE groups helping with the Expo include ADNOC, PureHealth, Space42, and the Department of Culture and Tourism.
