UAE ranked among world’s top AI hubs in Stanford AI Index 2026
ABU DHABI, April 16: The United Arab Emirates is now one of the world’s top hubs for artificial intelligence, or AI. This came in the AI Index Report 2026 by Stanford University’s Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence.
The report said the UAE is doing very well in AI planning, public awareness, and AI rules. It also showed strong results in AI skills, jobs, talent, and daily use.
The UAE ranked high in AI use when compared with income levels. Singapore also appeared in the same group. This shows the UAE is moving fast in AI and staying strong in world rankings.
More than 80 percent of workers in the UAE use AI often at work. Many of them also trust these tools. The report said the UAE is one of the fastest-growing countries in AI engineering skills.
The country also made big gains in AI talent. The report said AI talent concentration in the UAE grew by more than 100 percent from 2019 to 2025. The UAE also ranked high in attracting AI experts from abroad. It recorded a net talent inflow of about 4.40 per 10,000 LinkedIn members.
AI jobs are also growing fast in the country. AI-related jobs made up about 2.87 percent of all job listings in 2025. This placed the UAE among the world’s top countries in demand for AI workers.
The report also praised the UAE’s efforts in schools. Under the National AI Strategy 2031, all schools started teaching AI in the 2025–2026 academic year. Students now learn about data, algorithms, innovation, and ethics.
The report also praised Abu Dhabi’s Technology Innovation Institute. It said the institute plays a big role in advanced technology research. It gave special attention to the Falcon models and their progress in applied AI.
The report said the UAE continues to do better than expected in AI use. It also said the country keeps a strong place in the global AI field. This strengthens the UAE’s position as a leading AI center.
