ABU DHABI, 10th May, 2024 — UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today welcomed His Excellency Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting, both sides explored avenues to strengthen cooperation between the UAE and Türkiye across various sectors, building upon their strategic ties and comprehensive economic partnership.

Fostering Regional Stability: UAE and Türkiye’s Collaborative Efforts

High on the agenda was a discussion on the evolving situation in the Middle East, particularly efforts to secure an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and address the worsening humanitarian crisis. Emphasizing the importance of international responsibility, they underscored the imperative of pursuing a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the region based on the two-state solution.

Solidarity and Support for Peace: UAE’s Commitment

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed reaffirmed the UAE’s unwavering support for initiatives aimed at promoting security, stability, and peace regionally and globally.

The meeting witnessed the presence of dignitaries including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, along with other key officials.

As the UAE and Türkiye continue to strengthen their collaboration, the meeting reflects their shared commitment to fostering peace, security, and prosperity in the region.
