Abu Dhabi: The President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, attended an important session in Abu Dhabi to talk about the future of artificial intelligence in the country. The meeting focused on how the UAE can build a strong AI system that helps people, improves services, and supports the nation’s growth.

Leaders and experts at the event said that AI is now a big part of everyday life and is changing the world quickly. They explained that the UAE wants to use this technology to make life better for everyone and to stay ahead as a global leader in innovation.

Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, gave the opening speech. He spoke about the UAE’s plan for the future of AI and shared simple examples of how AI already helps people in daily tasks.

Many key officials attended the session, including Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of Education; Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence; Mansoor Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi; and several leaders from government, technology, and cybersecurity sectors.

Speakers explained that AI improves important areas such as healthcare, schools, the economy, and online safety. They noted that AI is helping doctors make faster and more accurate diagnoses, which leads to better treatments and higher survival rates for patients.

The session also talked about the UAE’s National AI Strategy, which focuses on building strong skills, improving technology infrastructure, and staying competitive around the world. New national tools were highlighted, such as the AI Readiness Index, which checks how well government groups are prepared for AI, and the Large Language Model Alignment Index, which ensures AI systems respect Emirati culture and values.

A live demonstration showed how the TAMM app makes government services easier. People can renew cars, pay fees, check insurance, and ask an AI assistant for help instantly on their phones.

Education leaders discussed how schools are teaching students to use AI in a smart and safe way. They stressed that AI should support learning, create new opportunities for the future, and help students stay connected to Emirati identity and culture.

The event took place at Qasr Al Bahr and was attended by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; and other sheikhs, ministers, and senior officials.
