UAE President and Iraqi Prime Minister Meet in Abu Dhabi to Strengthen Ties

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. The meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati Palace during the Prime Minister’s official visit to the UAE.

Both leaders spoke about the strong friendship between the UAE and Iraq and how to make it even stronger. They discussed new ways to work together, especially in business, development, and projects that can help people in both countries.

The talks also focused on peace and stability in the Middle East. The two sides shared views on current events in the region and stressed the importance of finding lasting peace. They highlighted support for the Palestinian people and the importance of building on international recognition of Palestine as a state.

Sheikh Mohamed and Prime Minister Al Sudani agreed that the UAE and Iraq should continue to cooperate closely. They said that working together will not only help both countries but also bring more security and stability to the Arab world.

Several senior UAE officials attended the meeting, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, and Abdulla Matar Al Mazrouei, UAE’s Ambassador to Iraq.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Al Sudani was welcomed at Abu Dhabi Presidential Flight by Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other senior officials.

This visit highlights the strong and growing partnership between the UAE and Iraq, with both countries committed to working together for a safer and more prosperous future.
