Dubai: The Sustainable City in Dubai has joined the 1 Billion Followers Summit 2026 as a Platinum Partner. This special event, the biggest in the world for content creators, will take place from January 9 to 11, 2026, across Emirates Towers, DIFC, and the Museum of the Future. The theme for next year’s summit is “Content for Good.”
The Sustainable City is known as the first eco-friendly community in the Middle East. It is powered by clean solar energy and built to support a healthy, low-carbon lifestyle. The city is one of the main projects of SEE Holding, a company leading the way in creating smart and green cities.
This partnership shows how both the 1 Billion Followers Summit and The Sustainable City share the same vision: to use creativity for a good cause, spread knowledge, and inspire positive change. Together, they aim to support creators in making content that helps people understand and care for the planet.
Khadija Hussain, Executive Director of Government Communication at the UAE Government Media Office, said that the partnership highlights how creative content can make a big difference. “This collaboration helps us use the power of content to raise awareness about sustainability and better living,” she said. “It proves that creativity and responsibility can work together to protect our planet.”
Faris Saeed, Founder and Chairman of SEE Holding, added, “We are proud to partner with the 1 Billion Followers Summit. This event brings together the best creators and innovators from around the world to produce meaningful content that helps build a better society.”
He also explained that the partnership will help bring sustainability into digital media by inspiring creators to share stories about smart cities, clean energy, and green living. “Our goal is to promote the UAE’s vision for Net Zero by 2050 and encourage everyone to care more about the environment,” he said.
The Summit gives The Sustainable City a chance to show its success in green living to a global audience of creators who together reach more than one billion followers. This supports the UAE’s position as a global leader in sustainability and innovation.
The Sustainable City covers five million square feet in DubaiLand. It uses solar power, has green farms, and designs spaces that help reduce carbon emissions by up to 75% compared to regular housing. The city also encourages walking, cycling, and electric vehicles instead of regular cars — making it a model for the smart cities of the future.
