Dubai: Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC), officially inaugurated the Corporation’s new headquarters in Dubai Maritime City. This milestone reflects Dubai’s commitment to strengthening its position as a global business hub.

State-of-the-Art Facility

The new PCFC headquarters, designed to support innovation and sustainability, accommodates over 1,500 employees and serves more than 300 clients and visitors daily. The facility includes a dedicated parking structure with 700 spaces to enhance convenience for employees and visitors.

Sultan bin Sulayem described the new headquarters as a “model of innovation and sustainability”, emphasizing its role in creating a modern, efficient, and comfortable workspace. Built to meet gold-level LEED standards, the building adheres to high environmental benchmarks, reducing energy use and water consumption while improving air quality.

A Historic Milestone

During his speech, Sultan bin Sulayem highlighted PCFC’s rich history, which began in 1886 with the establishment of the Furda Department to oversee trade and customs. He remarked, “This headquarters symbolizes progress and embodies our vision to position Dubai as a global leader in trade and business.”

The headquarters is located in Mina Rashid, one of Dubai’s historic ports, blending modern architectural design with the area’s rich maritime heritage.

Advancing Digital Transformation

Nasser Al Neyadi, CEO of PCFC, called the new headquarters a stepping stone for greater achievements locally and globally. He noted that the facility aligns with PCFC’s vision of digital transformation and corporate excellence, signaling the Corporation’s ongoing focus on innovation and efficiency.

Special Features and Celebrations

The inauguration included a tour of the new headquarters, showcasing key facilities such as:

  • Innovation Quay
  • Happiness Council
  • A museum and library

Additionally, PCFC unveiled custom fragrances inspired by major Dubai ports, including Rashid, Hamriyah, and Jebel Ali, as well as a unique musical tune created specifically for the occasion.
