Sultan bin Ahmed Honors Winners at Sharjah Ruler’s Show Jumping Cup

Sharjah: On Sunday evening, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, honored the winners of the Sharjah Ruler’s International Show Jumping Championship at the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club.
Top Winner and Prize Details
Rider Luis Felipe and his horse “Sierra de Pedrox Z” won the prestigious Longines Sharjah Prize Cup.
- Winner’s Prize: 55,000 euros
- Round Prize Pool: 165,000 euros
- Total Championship Prize Pool: Over 550,000 euros
Other Notable Winners
- Second Place: Emirati rider Abdullah Humaid Al Muhairi on “Chakolo”
- Third Place: German rider Sophie Henners on “Iron Dames Sinclair”
World Cup Final Qualifiers
His Highness also recognized riders who qualified for the World Cup final in Basel, Switzerland:
- Middle East Qualifiers: Saudi Arabia’s Ramzi Al Dahami, Emirati Omar Al Marzouqi, and Kuwaiti Ali Al Kharafi
- North Africa Qualifiers: Moroccans Abdel Kabir Dar and Sami Sharqawi
A Global Equestrian Event
The championship featured:
- Participants: 169 riders and 337 horses from 37 countries
- Competitions: Seven five-star international events held on the sandy outdoor field at the Sharjah Equestrian Centre
This event marked the fourth round of the Arab World Cup Show Jumping series, following previous rounds in Al Ain, at the International Sailing Championship, and at the Abu Dhabi International Championship.

The event also offered a variety of fun activities for families:
- Live Performances: Saxophone, light and music shows, a traditional Al Ayala band, police band, and qanun player
- Food and Shopping: A section featuring different restaurants and a busy market
- Kids’ Activities: Games, competitions, giveaways, free workshops including coloring, sand drawing, face painting, pony rides, and shows by cartoon characters
