Abu Dhabi: The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre in Abu Dhabi held two exciting cultural workshops for 39 students from schools across the emirate. These workshops were part of the “Al Shabab Al Banie” program, which helps young people learn about culture, reading, and art.
The students started with a tour of the Mosque Library, where they explored books, maps, and learned how to find the right books to read. They also practiced calligraphy and learned about the history of maps. Later, they visited the Light & Peace Museum and the Diya, A Universe of Light exhibit, where they saw rare books and beautiful Islamic art.
The Mosque Library, opened in 2010, holds over 50,000 old Islamic manuscripts and many rare books. Thanks to Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, the library now has 3,000 more rare books in many languages. These workshops aim to make learning fun and help young students connect with UAE’s rich culture and Islamic history.
