Rome: His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has arrived in Rome, Italy, to take part in a very important event the inauguration of the new Pope, Pope Leo XIV.
Sheikh Saud is representing President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at this special ceremony. He was joined by Sheikh Khalid bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, who helps run the Investment and Development Office in Ras Al Khaimah.
This event is important because Pope Leo XIV is becoming the new leader of the Catholic Church, one of the world’s biggest religions. The ceremony is being held at St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City, a very famous church where many world leaders and important guests are attending.
This event comes after the passing of Pope Francis, who was known for spreading peace and kindness among people of all faiths. He also signed a very important paper called the Document on Human Fraternity in Abu Dhabi in 2019. This document was so meaningful that the United Nations made February 4th the International Day of Human Fraternity to honor it.
