DUBAI: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, has approved the reconstitution of the Board of Directors of Emirates Health Services (EHS), chaired by Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh.

The new board includes Dr. Yousif Mohammed Al Serkal as Deputy Chairman and Managing Director, along with Sheikh Maktoum Butti Suhail Butti Al Maktoum, Dr. Aisha Mohammed Abdullah Yaseen, Abdulwahab Al Halabi, Mohammed Omar Karim, and Nitin Khanna Kumar Khanna.

Emirates Health Services is a federal authority operating under the UAE Cabinet. It is responsible for improving healthcare services across the country, managing federal hospitals and health centers, and ensuring access to quality preventive, primary, and treatment services.

The authority also focuses on developing national healthcare talent, attracting leading medical specialists, and expanding the use of advanced technology and artificial intelligence in healthcare. It supports medical research and helps strengthen healthcare education and training.

The Board of Directors will oversee the authority’s policies, regulations, and strategic plans, while also supporting efforts to develop a comprehensive national health insurance system in cooperation with relevant government entities.

The move highlights the UAE’s ongoing commitment to enhancing healthcare services and promoting innovation across the sector.
