Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award celebrates strong UAE–Kuwait ties

ABU DHABI: The Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award is marking the close and friendly relationship between the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait with a week-long celebration starting January 29. The events are taking place at the Award’s pavilion during the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi.
The celebration follows the vision of the UAE leadership to honor the long history of brotherhood between the UAE and Kuwait. It highlights the strong social, cultural, and historical connections shared by the people of both countries.
Visitors to the pavilion will see art displays that show the journey of UAE–Kuwait relations over the years. A special tree has also been placed where visitors can write kind messages and notes to express their love and respect for Kuwait.
Productive families are also taking part by preparing and serving traditional Gulf food. These activities help keep Gulf traditions alive and allow visitors, especially children, to learn about shared customs in a fun and welcoming way.
Throughout the week, the pavilion will host poetry sessions, cultural shows, and art performances that reflect the close bond between the two nations. A special talk will also be held to explain important moments in the history of UAE–Kuwait relations. Visitors can also join simple cultural games and competitions to learn more about both countries.
Mouza Suhail Al Muhairi, Chairperson of the Award’s Higher Committee, said these activities aim to raise public awareness about the shared history and values of the UAE and Kuwait. She explained that involving families and heritage-based events supports the local community and helps pass Gulf traditions on to younger generations.
She added that the Sheikh Zayed Festival is an important national platform because it attracts a large and diverse audience. The Award is proud to use this opportunity to support national celebrations and promote messages of unity and togetherness.
This week-long celebration shows the Award’s commitment to strengthening brotherly ties between Gulf nations. Through culture, food, art, and shared history, the event sends a clear message of friendship, respect, and unity between the UAE and Kuwait.
