Sheikh Hamdan Reviews Dubai’s Citizen Plans and Achievements

Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, led a key meeting of the Higher Committee for Development and Citizens Affairs to review big plans and successes aimed at making life better for Emiratis.

He confirmed that citizens’ wellbeing remains a top priority. The meeting highlighted jobs, housing, social support, and new initiatives for retirees and families. Since 2022, the committee helped 33,470 Emiratis get jobs over 8,000 in government and 25,000 in private firms. It also provided 1,315 homes, over 10,000 land plots, and nearly 9,000 housing loans. Around 426 citizens were freed from loan payments worth AED146 million.

Sheikh Hamdan launched the “Thukhr” Initiative to help retirees stay healthy, active, and connected. He also approved “Ghamran Camp,” a father-son desert camp teaching Emirati values. He announced a spending plan for AED10 billion in endowment assets, which will support health, education, and social needs helping over 250,000 people a year.

Other highlights included:

  • Boosting support for low-income families to AED438 million
  • Funding 545 Emirati weddings since 2024
  • Launching Dubai’s Integrated Housing Centre
  • Growing digital citizen services through the “Emirati” app

Sheikh Hamdan said Dubai will keep investing in projects that improve lives, build strong families, and honor Emirati heritage.
