Sheikh Hamdan Calls on UAE Residents to Unite on Day of Solidarity

Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has invited all residents of the UAE to come together and show unity on the Day of Solidarity, observed every year on January 17.

Sheikh Hamdan, who is also Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, asked people to tune in to national TV and radio channels at 11:00 am on Saturday. At that time, the national anthem will be played across the country.

In a message shared on his X account, Sheikh Hamdan said this moment is a chance for everyone to stand together, listen to the national anthem, and renew their love and loyalty to the UAE. He encouraged people to remember the strength and unity that make the country safe and strong.

The Day of Solidarity marks the fourth anniversary of the 2022 attack carried out by Houthi rebels on civilian sites in Abu Dhabi. The day honors the courage, unity, and strong spirit shown by the people of the UAE during that time.

Sheikh Hamdan said January 17 is a day to remember how Emiratis and residents stood proudly behind the UAE flag to protect the nation’s achievements and its respected place in the world.
