Sharjah Ruler Attends Opening Night of Al-Zeer Salem Play at Al Majaz Amphitheatre

SHARJAH: His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, attended the opening night of the epic play Al-Zeer Salem on Friday evening. The show took place at Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah.
His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, also attended the event. Many senior officials, artists, actors, and media professionals were present.
When the Ruler of Sharjah arrived, several officials welcomed him. They included Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Statistics and Community Development, and Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Districts Affairs Department. His Highness greeted guests and members of the media before the show began.
The play Al-Zeer Salem is based on a famous Arab story known for its strong message and deep history. The performance tells the story in a modern way while keeping its original meaning. The play shows how Arab theatre continues to grow and reach new audiences.
The story follows the events of the Basus War. It focuses on Al-Zeer Salem, also known as Abu Layla Al-Muhalhel. He seeks justice for the death of his brother Kulaib. The play shows his struggle between revenge and doing what is right. It also sends clear messages about forgiveness, peace, and unity.
After the show ended, Sheikh Dr Sultan met the cast and crew. He thanked the actors, technicians, and production team for their hard work. He praised their efforts in presenting an important part of Arab heritage.
The play includes well-known Arab artists. The production uses modern stage design, animated scenes, music, lighting, and sound effects. These elements help tell the story clearly and keep the audience engaged.
