RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Commander of the Joint Forces, Lieutenant General Fahad bin Hamad Al Salman, welcomed a delegation from the US armed forces on Sunday. The meeting, held in Riyadh, focused on enhancing the military partnership between the two nations, according to a report released on Monday.

The US delegation was led by Vice Admiral Charles Bradford Cooper II, the deputy chief of the US Central Command (CENTCOM). The discussions took place at the Joint Forces Command headquarters in Riyadh, with senior military officials from both sides in attendance. The Saudi delegation included Major General Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, deputy commander of the Joint Forces.

CENTCOM plays a pivotal role in overseeing US military operations in the Middle East, Northeast Africa, Central Asia, and parts of South Asia. The talks aimed to explore new avenues of cooperation to strengthen regional security and bolster military ties between Saudi Arabia and the United States.

This ongoing collaboration between the two nations underscores the importance of their strategic partnership in maintaining stability in a region that faces multiple security challenges.
