In a significant diplomatic gesture, Saudi Arabia was represented by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Envoy, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, at the inauguration ceremony of Prabowo Subianto, the newly elected President of Indonesia. The prestigious event took place in Jakarta on October 20, 2024.

Al-Jubeir personally conveyed congratulations and warm greetings from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to President Subianto. The Saudi leadership shared their hopes for Indonesia’s continued growth, progress, and prosperity during Subianto’s presidency.

Additionally, Al-Jubeir delivered a written message from King Salman to President Subianto. This gesture further strengthened the already strong bilateral ties between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia.

Through this high-level representation, Saudi Arabia highlighted the close and evolving relationship between the two nations. It also underscored the Kingdom’s commitment to fostering deeper cooperation across various sectors with Indonesia.
