JEDDAH: The Saudi Life Saving Federation, with support from the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, held a special awareness campaign to mark World Drowning Prevention Day, which is observed every year on July 25.
The campaign took place at the Olympic Committee’s headquarters and included live demonstrations and educational workshops. Certified lifeguards and trainers showed visitors how to stay safe in swimming pools, beaches, and other water areas. People learned simple but important tips, like never swimming alone and always keeping an eye on children near water.
The goal of the campaign is to help families and communities understand how to prevent drowning accidents. Organizers hope to build a stronger culture of safety and make sure more people know what to do in water emergencies.
This event is part of Saudi Arabia’s wider efforts to keep citizens and visitors safe and informed about the risks around water.
