Saudi Leaders Send Condolences to Kuwait’s Emir Over Deadly Fire
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman on Wednesday expressed condolences to Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah following a deadly fire in Kuwait. The tragic blaze claimed the lives of 49 people and left dozens injured. The Saudi king conveyed his heartfelt sympathy to the victims’ families and the people of Kuwait.
King Salman Offers Condolences for Fire Tragedy
In his message, King Salman said, “We learned of the news of the outbreak of a fire in the Mangaf region, and the deaths and injuries that resulted from it. We send to Your Highness, to the families of the deceased, and to the brotherly people of the State of Kuwait, our warmest and most sincere condolences.” He also wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the incident.
Crown Prince Mohammed Extends Sympathies
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also sent similar messages of condolence to Kuwait’s emir and Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. He expressed his sorrow over the tragedy and his hopes for a swift recovery for those hurt in the fire.
The blaze, which occurred at dawn in a six-story building south of Kuwait City, resulted in significant loss and injury. Nearly 200 foreign workers were housed in the building. The Kuwaiti health ministry reported the fire’s devastating impact, highlighting the urgent need for support and assistance.
Saudi leaders’ messages of condolence underscore the close ties between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Their swift response reflects the solidarity and mutual support shared by the neighboring countries in times of crisis.
