Saudi Defense Minister Meets with Turkiye’s Defense Industry Agency Chief to Boost Cooperation
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman, met with Haluk Gorgun, President of Turkey’s Defense Industry Agency, in Istanbul on Wednesday to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the defense industry. The meeting aligns with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 plan for national development and diversification. Prince Khalid also met with heads of leading Turkish companies, exploring innovative technological projects and latest products.
The minister witnessed the signing of several agreements between Saudi and Turkish companies, fostering collaboration in the defense industry. He visited Turkish Aerospace Industries in Ankara and Turkish defense company Baykar in Istanbul, showcasing his commitment to strengthening defense ties.
Prince Khalid’s visit to Turkey began on Tuesday, where he met with representatives of Aselsan, a Turkish defense company, to discuss projects and latest products. He was accompanied by high-ranking officials, including the chief of the general staff and the Saudi ambassador to Turkey.
