Kuala Lumpur: Saudi Arabian cyclist Ameen Al Hayyan made history by winning Saudi Arabia’s first-ever gold medal in cycling at the 2025 Asian Track Championships. The event took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from February 21 to 27, with 300 athletes from 16 countries competing.
Al Hayyan triumphed in the men’s junior elimination race, showcasing exceptional skill as he outpaced 11 strong competitors to secure the top spot. Hong Kong’s Yik Fei Ma took second place, earning the silver medal, while UAE’s Yousuf Amiri finished third to claim the bronze.
This victory marks a significant achievement for Saudi Arabian cycling, further solidifying Al Hayyan’s place in the sport’s history.
