Saudi Aramco Team Shines at World Firefighters Games with 23 Medals
Dhahran: Saudi Aramco’s firefighting team made the nation proud by winning an impressive 23 medals at the World Firefighters Games, held in Aalborg, Denmark. The team, consisting of 20 members, secured 6 gold, 9 silver, and 8 bronze medals in a range of physically demanding events.
Aramco to Host 2026 World Firefighters Games in Dammam
In a significant announcement, Aramco revealed that it will be hosting the 16th edition of the World Firefighters Games in 2026. The prestigious event will take place in Dammam, further solidifying Saudi Arabia’s global role in the firefighting community.
Outstanding Performance in 24 Challenges
The Aramco team participated in 24 out of 50 challenges, showcasing their physical strength, skills, and endurance. Among the challenges were activities like pulling hoses, obstacle courses, and climbing a 15-story tower—all while wearing full firefighting gear. The team broke personal records and surpassed their previous performance in the 2022 games.
Excelling in Multiple Sports
In addition to firefighting-specific events, the team competed in a variety of athletic disciplines. These included the stair climb, 10-kilometer race, javelin throw, shot put, triple jump, 400-meter relay, volleyball, soccer, hammer throw, and arm wrestling.
A Win for Aramco’s Media Team
This event also provided a valuable opportunity for Aramco’s media team. Photographers and videographers documented the event, sharpening their skills and capturing key moments to support the company’s marketing efforts.
