Saudi Arabia Wraps Up Successful Participation in Muscat International Book Fair 2025

The Muscat International Book Fair 2025 came to a close on Saturday, attracting many book lovers, collectors, and visitors. The event saw 35 countries and 674 publishing houses from around the world, showcasing their latest books and intellectual works.
Saudi Arabia’s participation was led by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission. The Kingdom’s involvement added great value to the fair by giving people a chance to connect directly with Saudi culture. The Saudi pavilion also highlighted the country’s efforts in literature and translation, helping to promote a better understanding of Saudi culture in the Gulf region.
Throughout the event, the Saudi pavilion offered a variety of cultural activities. There were intellectual seminars and discussions with well-known thinkers and writers, showing the creative diversity of Saudi Arabia. This participation also helped strengthen cultural ties between Saudi Arabia and Oman, two countries that share a rich history and deep connections in literature and the arts.
The Muscat International Book Fair, which started in 1992, has become one of the most important cultural events in the region. It plays a key role in encouraging people to read, supporting the Arab publishing industry, and promoting Omani literature to readers across the Arab world.
