Saudi Arabia Takes Center Stage at Global Audit Conference
Saudi Arabia is making a significant impact at the International Conference of the Institute of Internal Auditors 2024, currently underway in Washington. A strong delegation of 100 internal audit professionals and service providers from the Saudi Association of Internal Auditors (SAIA) is participating in the three-day event.
Saudi Leadership in Internal Auditing
Led by Dr.Hussam bin Abdulmohsen Al-Angari, president of the General Court of Audit and chairman of SAIA’s board of directors, the Saudi delegation holds a “diamond sponsorship” for the conference. Five SAIA-nominated speakers will share insights on the profession’s 2035 vision, the importance of advisory roles, integrated assurance processes, and audit considerations in construction projects.
Al-Angari highlighted Saudi Arabia’s pioneering role in internal auditing and emphasized the profession’s rapid evolution driven by technological advancements, particularly artificial intelligence.
The conference, attracting 2,300 internal auditors globally, covers key topics like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, fraud, sustainability, global audit standards, governance, leadership, and human capital.
Saudi Arabia’s prominent presence at this global platform underscores its commitment to advancing internal audit practices and showcasing its leadership in the field.
