Saudi Arabia Launches New Initiatives to Shape the Future of Artificial Intelligence

Geneva: Saudi Arabia is taking significant steps to address global challenges in technology, data, and algorithms. Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Alswaha, shared the news during his speech at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) event in Geneva. The event celebrated the 160th anniversary of the ITU and was attended by global leaders and tech experts.

Alswaha emphasized that the world is at a key moment due to the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI). He pointed out that there are existing gaps in technology, data, and algorithms that need urgent attention and cooperation from all countries.

He also highlighted that, under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia is committed to addressing these challenges. The Kingdom has launched several initiatives to help bridge these gaps and ensure digital inclusivity for everyone. Alswaha stressed that the future of AI will depend on international partnerships and collaboration to avoid creating a divide between nations. The goal is to use AI and modern technologies to build a more fair and equitable world for all.
