Saudi Arabia Enhances Hajj Pilgrimage with 27,000 Buses
Riyadh Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia is committed to ensuring a smooth and comfortable Hajj experience for pilgrims. A key element is providing efficient transportation, and this year, the Kingdom’s Transport General Authority (TGA) has deployed a massive fleet of over 27,000 buses to serve pilgrims during Hajj.
Extensive Network for Easy Navigation
These buses will operate on a network of 16 designated routes, strategically planned with 11 stops and stations to simplify navigation for pilgrims. Over 3,500 buses are dedicated solely to transporting pilgrims to and from the Grand Mosque in Makkah, the holiest site in Islam.
Additional Services for Pilgrim Convenience
The Transport General Authority (TGA) is also providing 355 buses for general use within Makkah and an additional 27 in Madinah. This ensures pilgrims have convenient transportation throughout their Hajj journey. For a comfortable and respectful experience for all, the TGA prohibits smoking, eating, and loud phone conversations on the buses.
The TGA understands the diverse needs of pilgrims and equips each bus to accommodate those with mobility limitations or disabilities. Additionally, all drivers receive instructions to treat passengers with utmost care and courtesy.
Addressing Delays and Providing Support
The Transport General Authority (TGA) offers complimentary meals and refreshments to pilgrims on journeys exceeding three hours that experience delays over an hour. For any travel concerns, pilgrims can directly contact the TGA hotline at 19929 or reach out via their customer care account on X, “@TGA_CARE.”
Saudi Arabia implements these comprehensive measures to ensure a comfortable and dignified Hajj experience for all pilgrims.
