Saudi Arabia Completes ‘Train-the-Trainers’ Program to Fight Human Trafficking
Riyadh: In a significant step towards strengthening efforts to combat human trafficking, the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking in Saudi Arabia has successfully completed the second phase of its ‘Train-the-Trainers’ program. The training, led by Dr. Hala bint Mazyed Al-Tuwaijri, President of the Human Rights Commission, provided 20 committee members with advanced skills to tackle human trafficking effectively.
Key Highlights of the Program
The ‘Train-the-Trainers’ sessions took place at the Human Rights Commission’s headquarters in Riyadh from November 3 to November 7. Organized in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the program drew in experts and specialists from various government agencies involved in combating human trafficking.
Participants engaged in a range of training topics, including:
- Communication Skills: Methods for effectively engaging with trainees
- Trainer’s Role and Responsibilities: Understanding the responsibilities as a trainer
- Speech and Presentation Skills: Enhancing public speaking and presenting information effectively
