JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia and Indonesia signed agreements worth $27 billion during Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto’s visit to the Kingdom. The deals cover clean energy, petrochemicals, and aviation fuel.
Over the past five years, trade between the two countries reached $31.5 billion, making Saudi Arabia Indonesia’s top trading partner in the region. Both sides also welcomed progress on a Gulf-Indonesia free trade deal and hope to finalize it soon.
In energy, they agreed to work together on oil, petrochemicals, and renewable energy projects. They will also explore new technologies like artificial intelligence and clean hydrogen.
On defense and security, the two nations pledged to fight crime, terrorism, and cyber threats while sharing expertise. They also discussed global issues and agreed to work together for peace and stability.
