Ministers Discuss Ways to Advance Islamic Work

The Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, met with his Egyptian counterpart, Osama Al-Azhari, in Cairo. The meeting marked the beginning of Sheikh Abdullatif’s visit to Egypt, where he is leading the Saudi delegation at the 35th International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.

The ministers discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Egypt in various fields related to Islamic affairs. They emphasized the importance of promoting understanding and tolerance in the Islamic world.

Al-Azhari expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s participation in the conference and acknowledged the Kingdom’s influential role in Islamic affairs. The conference, held under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, will bring together over 100 delegates from 60 countries.

The meeting between the two ministers underscores the strong bilateral relationship between Saudi Arabia and Egypt and their shared commitment to promoting Islamic values and fostering cooperation among Muslim nations.
