Saudi Ambassador to Tajikistan Sends Off Pilgrims at Airport

On May 17, 2025, Waleed Abdulrahman Alreshaidan, the Saudi Ambassador to Tajikistan, attended the farewell ceremony for the first group of pilgrims departing from Tajikistan at Dushanbe International Airport. The ceremony marked the beginning of the pilgrimage season, with the group heading to the holy sites in Saudi Arabia.

Ambassador Alreshaidan expressed that it was a great honor and source of pride for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people to serve the pilgrims. He highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting and facilitating the pilgrimage experience for Muslims around the world.

A’lem Zadah, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Religious Affairs of Tajikistan, also expressed his gratitude to the government of Saudi Arabia for providing assistance and facilities to the pilgrims. The support from Saudi Arabia ensures that pilgrims can perform their religious duties with ease and comfort.
