Saudi AI Whiz Kids Head to Oxford for Intensive Training

A group of exceptionally talented Saudi students, fresh off their triumph at the National Olympiad for Programming and Artificial Intelligence, are embarking on an intensive two-week AI training program at Oxford University. These ten young minds, ranging from middle to high school, will immerse themselves in the world of programming, AI, and machine learning.

Saudi Arabia Cultivates Future AI Leaders

Beyond technical skills, the program emphasizes the ethical dimensions of AI. Students will delve into the practical application of algorithms and grapple with the societal implications of this transformative technology. The Oxford Scholars Programme offers a unique platform for these young prodigies to learn from renowned experts and exchange ideas with peers from around the globe. Upon completion, they will receive a prestigious certificate from the British Accreditation Council and a coveted academic recommendation for top universities worldwide.

The National Olympiad, a collaborative effort between the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, the Ministry of Education, and the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, served as a rigorous platform to identify and nurture young AI talent. From an initial pool of 260,000 participants, 298 finalists competed fiercely, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving and coding abilities.
