RAK Residents Can Become Tourism Ambassadors and Get Visitor Discounts

Residents and citizens of Ras Al Khaimah can now invite overseas guests to visit the emirate and give them access to a package of travel and leisure discounts.
The new RAK Ambassador initiative is open to citizens and residents aged 18 or above. Registration opened on August 18, 2026, with the visitor campaign running from August 19 through October 31, 2026.
For visitors who haven’t been to the emirate before, this could be a useful way to combine a trip with savings on hotels, attractions, dining and activities.
Who can register as a RAK Ambassador?
Citizens and residents of Ras Al Khaimah aged 18 or older can register as ambassadors. They can then nominate visitors from outside the UAE during the campaign period.
There is no one-visitor limit. An eligible host can nominate more than one guest.
Visitors must register before arriving
Guests must be registered before entering the UAE on a tourist visa or visa on arrival. The registration therefore needs to be completed before the visitor reaches Ras Al Khaimah.
The programme is aimed at residents who want to invite family members, friends or business contacts from abroad and introduce them to the emirate.
What benefits do visitors get?
The RAK Ambassador package covers several parts of a visitor’s trip. Participating offers include discounts on:
- Hotel stays
- Major tourist attractions
- Restaurants and cafes
- Marine activities
- Safari tours
- Luxury car rentals
- Shopping at Al Manar Mall
That means visitors can potentially save across accommodation, food, entertainment, transport and shopping instead of receiving a discount on just one part of their holiday.
Ras Al Khaimah is already known for its mix of beaches, mountains, desert activities and heritage sites. Visitors planning their first trip can also read our guide to Ras Al Khaimah for information on attractions, transport and things to do.
Why the emirate wants residents involved
The initiative is part of Ras Al Khaimah’s tourism and investment plans under Ras Al Khaimah Vision 2030.
The thinking is simple. Residents already have family, friends and professional contacts living outside the UAE. Giving them a reason to invite those people could help bring more international visitors to the emirate.
It could also benefit local businesses. More visitors can mean additional hotel bookings, restaurant visits, attraction tickets, retail spending and demand for tourism activities.
The programme was launched by the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and has been described as the first initiative of its kind in the emirate.
Ras Al Khaimah has plenty for visitors to see
The discounts are particularly relevant for visitors planning an activity-filled trip. Ras Al Khaimah offers attractions ranging from Jebel Jais and its mountain experiences to beaches, historic forts and cultural sites.
Jebel Jais, for example, reaches 1,934 metres above sea level and is home to the 2.8-kilometre Jebel Jais Flight zipline. Other attractions include Dhayah Fort, Al Marjan Island and the Ras Al Khaimah National Museum.
