Over 1.8 Million Car Rental Deals Made in Saudi Arabia in Three Months

Riyadh: The Transport General Authority (TGA) said that more than 1.8 million car rental deals were made in Saudi Arabia during the third quarter of 2025. These contracts were issued between July and September to people across the Kingdom.
TGA explained that the number of car rentals grew by 21% compared to the same time last year. Riyadh had the highest number of rentals with 31.62% of the total, followed by Makkah with 24% and the Eastern Region with 14.62%. Other regions included Aseer at 7.72%, Madinah at 5.81%, Qassim at 4.59%, Jazan at 3.77%, and Tabuk at 2.81%. Smaller shares came from Najran, Hail, Al-Jouf, Al-Baha, and the Northern Borders.
The TGA said the new electronic rental system protects both the renter and the company, making the process easier and more secure. It also helps improve service quality and ensures that vehicles meet proper standards, boosting the efficiency and growth of the car rental market in Saudi Arabia.
