The Muslim Council of Elders hosted a special seminar at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair on May 5, 2025, to talk about the important role of women in building peace and teaching future generations. The event was part of the Council’s cultural program at the 34th edition of the book fair.
The session featured Sheikha Khulood Al Qassimi from the UAE Ministry of Education and former Egyptian Minister Nabila Makram. They spoke to a group of thinkers, researchers, and visitors at the fair.
Sheikha Khulood explained that women are not just supporters in society but leaders in shaping values like kindness, respect, and peaceful living. She said that mothers especially play a key role in teaching children how to listen, understand others, and live with compassion.
She also celebrated the success of Emirati women in many areas, thanks to the support of the country’s leadership. Today, women in the UAE are a big part of government, healthcare, and education, helping lead the country into the future.
