Most expensive penthouse in Abu Dhabi’s just got sold for Dh137 million
Abu Dhabi’s real estate market witnessed a historic transaction as a three-bedroom beachfront penthouse on Saadiyat Island sold for Dh137 million, marking a new pinnacle in luxury apartment sales within the emirate. Developed and sold by Aldar, the penthouse at Nobu Residences not only achieved a record-setting sale price but also established a new benchmark for price per square meter, exceeding Dh96,000 per sqm.
This remarkable sale comes closely after the recent Dh130 million sale of a four-bedroom duplex sky villa within the same development, further underlining the desirability and exclusivity of this prime location.
Talal Al Dhiyebi, group CEO at Aldar, highlighted the significance of this record-setting transaction, emphasizing its role in defining the residential property landscape in Abu Dhabi. He attributed the consistent growth in both transaction volume and value to favorable government policies and initiatives, making Abu Dhabi an increasingly attractive destination for living and investment.
Rashed Al Omaira, acting director general at Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing Abu Dhabi’s robust growth as a preferred destination for living, working, and investing. He reaffirmed the commitment to developing exceptional residential projects that showcase the emirate’s unique cultural ambiance while positioning it as a global real estate hub.
Nobu Residences Abu Dhabi, slated for completion by Q2 of 2027, integrates Nobu’s renowned Japanese design and hospitality with modern luxury. Situated within walking distance of Saadiyat Grove and Mamsha Al Saadiyat, the development offers a waterfront promenade featuring over 60,000 sqm of premium shopping, dining, and hospitality experiences.
The Dh137 million penthouse, occupying an entire floor and accessible via a private elevator, boasts an expansive terrace with a private pool, offering breathtaking views framed by the iconic Guggenheim Museum and the tranquil Grove Boulevard. This sale reaffirms Abu Dhabi’s status as a premier destination for luxury living and investment opportunities.
