Ministry of Media to Launch 10th Media Oasis During GSR25 in Riyadh

Riyadh: The Ministry of Media has announced the launch of the 10th edition of “Media Oasis,” a major media event that will take place alongside the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR25) in Riyadh. The event will run from August 31 to September 3, 2025, at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center.

The Media Oasis is a special platform designed to show Saudi Arabia’s growing media role in the world. It also supports the country’s goals under Saudi Vision 2030 by creating a modern space for journalists, media experts, and technology leaders.

This year, the Media Oasis will cover 4,000 square meters and welcome more than 2,500 local and international journalists. It will include advanced facilities and different zones for media work. One of the highlights is the “Oasis Valley,” where big screens will show live coverage of the exhibition and the symposium’s opening.

Another key area is the “Oasis Exhibition,” where visitors can explore projects from Saudi Vision 2030, new innovations, and regulatory technologies. There will also be four studios for TV channels from Saudi Arabia and abroad.

Several government bodies and private companies will join the event, including the Ministry of Sport, Aseer Development Authority, Saudi Space Agency, Saudi National Bank, and Mobily. Major national projects like NEOM and “Visit Saudi” will also be showcased, along with top local and international tech firms.

The GSR25, hosted this year by Saudi Arabia with the International Telecommunication Union, is one of the biggest global events for digital regulation. It will bring together ministers, policymakers, regulators, and business leaders from more than 190 countries under the theme “Regulation for Sustainable Digital Development.”
