Mawani adds new ‘BOS’ shipping service to Jeddah Islamic Port to boost global trade

Jeddah – July 28, 2025 – The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has added a new shipping service called “BOS”, operated by Blue Ocean, to Jeddah Islamic Port. This service will help Saudi Arabia trade more goods with other countries and make its ports even stronger.
The BOS shipping route connects Jeddah with big ports in China, including Qingdao, Ningbo, and Nansha. Big ships on this route can carry up to 2,300 containers.
This new service helps Saudi businesses send products to more places and makes it easier for goods to come into the country. It also supports the country’s big plan to become a world leader in transportation and shipping.
Mawani said this is part of their plan to make Saudi Arabia a top logistics hub, linking Asia, Africa, and Europe.
