Barcelona, Spain: The Al Madinah Region Development Authority is spotlighting its latest smart city solutions at the 14th Smart Cities Expo and World Congress (CEWC24) in Barcelona, Spain, from November 5 to 7. This year marks Madinah’s third appearance at the global event.
Madinah’s delegation is sharing insights on the region’s achievements in building a smart, sustainable, and people-centered city. At the Madinah Pavilion, the authority presents cutting-edge innovations designed to improve residents’ quality of life and enhance the experiences of millions of visitors each year.
Highlighted technologies at the pavilion include:
- City Experiences Guide – The world’s first urban guide focused on smart city innovations, setting a new benchmark in city guidance.
- Raseel Platform – A national smart city platform that strengthens digital infrastructure and modernizes urban services.
- Manarah Platform – A central hub for urban data, supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Smart Lighting Network – LoRaWAN-based, this efficient lighting network reduces energy use in public spaces.
- 3D Geospatial Information System – Advanced mapping and modeling around the Prophet’s Mosque.
Through this expo, the Madinah Region Development Authority reaffirms its leadership in smart city innovation, positioning Madinah as a model for human-centered urban development.
