New York: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has joined hands with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) to help hospitals in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine. The deal was signed during the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Supervisor General of KSrelief, and Jorge Moreira da Silva, Executive Director of UNOPS.
This project is worth more than 5 million US dollars and will help over 220,000 people. The plan includes giving hospitals modern machines like MRI scanners, CT scanners, X-ray devices, and equipment to check patients’ vital signs. These will be used in emergency rooms and intensive care units to save more lives.
KSrelief and UNOPS said this step shows their strong commitment to support health care and bring hope to people in Ukraine during tough times.
