King Salman Royal Reserve Celebrates Birth of Nubian Ibex
Sakaka, March 17, 2025: The King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Natural Reserve recently celebrated the birth of a Nubian ibex in March. The King Salman Royal Reserve Development Authority reported that more than 81 mountain ibexes have been successfully reintroduced to different areas of the reserve in recent months. This initiative is part of the reserve’s ongoing efforts to protect wildlife and provide a suitable environment for their growth and reproduction.
The authority emphasized that the birth of these animals within the reserve demonstrates the high quality of its natural habitats. It also highlights the reserve’s dedication to preserving endangered species and promoting biodiversity. Since its establishment, the reserve has recorded over 120 births of various mammals, including the Arabian oryx, sand gazelle, Nubian ibex, and Arabian gazelle.
This accomplishment underlines the importance of conservation efforts and the success of the reserve in creating a safe haven for wildlife in Saudi Arabia.
