RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s leadership extends heartfelt congratulations to Armenia and Belize as they mark their national independence celebrations.

On Saturday, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, sent formal messages of congratulations to the heads of state of both Armenia and Belize, expressing their well-wishes on these significant national milestones.

In his message to Armenian President Vahagn Garniki Khachaturyan, King Salman conveyed his sincere wishes for the president’s “continued health and happiness.” He also expressed his hopes for the people and government of Armenia to enjoy “steady progress and prosperity” as they commemorate their Independence Day on September 23.

A similar message was sent by the Saudi monarch to Belize’s Governor-General Froyla Tzalam. King Salman extended his best wishes for the “health and well-being” of the governor-general and conveyed his hopes for the continued success and prosperity of Belize and its citizens.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also sent his warm congratulations in separate cables addressed to the Armenian president and the Belizean governor-general. The Crown Prince expressed his pride in maintaining strong diplomatic ties with both nations and shared his hope for ongoing collaboration and growth in bilateral relations.

Armenia’s Independence from the Soviet Union

Armenia, a landlocked country in the Caucasus region, declared its independence from the former Soviet Union on September 23, 1991. With a population of approximately 2.78 million, Armenia celebrates this day as a defining moment in its national history.

Belize’s Journey to Independence

Belize, located along the eastern coast of Central America, was formerly known as British Honduras. The nation officially gained independence from Britain on September 21, 1981, and has since marked this day as its national Independence Day.

The Saudi leadership’s warm congratulations to both Armenia and Belize underscore the Kingdom’s commitment to fostering strong international relations and supporting countries as they celebrate their national milestones.
