Riyadh: The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) inaugurated its Arabic Language Month program today in Baku, Azerbaijan, as part of its international initiative to promote Arabic among non-native speakers and strengthen global academic cooperation.

The launch ceremony was attended by KSGAAL Secretary-General Dr. Abdullah Al-Washmi and Saudi Ambassador to Azerbaijan Essam Al-Jutaili, who emphasized the deep-rooted cultural ties between the Kingdom and Azerbaijan. Both highlighted the program’s significance in advancing the Arabic language on the global stage, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030.

The program targets teachers, students, and language enthusiasts through diverse educational activities, including competitions, specialized training courses, and a scientific symposium on Arabic language learning and teaching in Central Asia. Experts from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Georgia will participate in the symposium to address challenges and explore opportunities in Arabic education across the region.

The initiative is part of a wider global project led by KSGAAL, which has previously organized similar programs in Uzbekistan, Indonesia, China, India, France, Brazil, Thailand, Malaysia, and Spain, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s commitment to advancing the international presence of the Arabic language.
