Kazakh President Honors APC Chief Majid Al-Usaimi with Order of Friendship

Astana: In a proud moment for Asia and the UAE, Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev awarded Majid Al-Usaimi, President of the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC), the Order of Friendship. The award was given at the Akorda Presidential Palace in Astana to recognize Al-Usaimi’s great work in growing the Paralympic Movement across Asia.
The event was attended by top officials and leaders. They discussed the strong role of the Asian Paralympic Committee, the success of Kazakhstan’s athletes in world events, and the country’s experience in hosting major Para sport competitions.
President Tokayev praised Al-Usaimi’s leadership and highlighted Kazakhstan’s strong support for Paralympic sports. He said the country is proud to be a partner in building a brighter and more inclusive future for athletes of determination.
Majid Al-Usaimi thanked the Kazakh President for the honor, saying the award also reflects the UAE’s leadership in empowering people of determination. He added that this recognition pushes the APC to continue working for the growth of Paralympic sports in Asia and worldwide.
He also congratulated Kazakhstan for successfully hosting the 8th APC Conference and General Assembly in Astana, calling the nation a key player in developing the Paralympic Movement in the region.
