MAKKAH: Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto performed Umrah today in the holy city of Makkah.
Upon arriving at the Grand Mosque, President Subianto was welcomed by Saudi officials. The spiritual visit comes after his official trip to Saudi Arabia, where both countries signed important agreements worth $27 billion.
Umrah is a sacred Islamic pilgrimage that can be performed at any time of the year. President Subianto’s visit highlights the strong ties between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, two of the world’s largest Muslim-majority nations.
